PHP Number Pattern 55

Here`s a program that prints the above number pattern using PHP Programming:

example.php
Copied
Copy To Clipboard
<?php
for($i=1; $i<=5; $i++)
{
 $k = 4;
 $res = $i;
 for($j=$i; $j<$i+$i; $j++)
 {
  if($i == $j)
   echo "<div>". $j. "</div>";
  else
  {
   $res = $res + $k;
   echo "<div>". $res. "</div>";
   $k--;
  }
 }
 echo "<br>";
}
?>

💻 Testing the Program

When you run the above program, it will print the following output:

Output
1
2 6
3 7 10
4 8 11 13
5 9 12 14 15

🧠 How the Program Works

Let's break down the logic behind the code:

  1. The program starts with opening a PHP tag <?php.
  2. The outermost loop uses the variable $i to iterate from 1 to 5. The loop structure is for($i=1; $i<=5; $i++).
  3. Inside the outer loop, two variables $k and $res are initialized. $k is set to 4, and $res is set to the current value of $i.
  4. The inner loop uses the variable $j to iterate from $i to $i + $i - 1. This loop is designed to create a pattern of values that will be echoed.
  5. Inside the inner loop, there is an if condition that compares $i and $j. If they are equal, a <div> element is echoed with the value of $j inside it.
  6. If the if condition is not met (meaning $i is not equal to $j), the program enters the else block. In the else block:
    • The value of $res is updated by adding the value of $k to it. This is done to generate a sequence of values based on the previous value of $res.
    • The updated value of $res is echoed inside a <div> element.
    • The value of $k is decremented by 1.
  7. After the inner loop completes, a <br> element is echoed to start a new line in the HTML output.
  8. The outer loop continues its iterations until $i reaches 5.
  9. Once the outer loop completes, the PHP program ends with a closing tag ?>.

💯 Tips for Enhancement:

Explore the versatility of this pattern by adjusting its parameters. Whether you increase or decrease the size, tweak the spacing, or modify the characters used, each change opens up a world of possibilities, allowing you to customize and create your unique visual effects.

✔ Conclusion:

Creating visually appealing patterns is not only a fun endeavour but also a great way to enhance your programming or design skills. We hope this tutorial has inspired you to explore the world of creative coding. Share your creations with us, and let your imagination run wild!
