Let's break down the logic behind the code:

  1. The program starts with the declaration of a class named Demo.

  5. Inside the outer loop, there's an inner loop that runs from j = 5 to j >= 1, decrementing j by 1 in each iteration. This loop controls the columns of the output pattern.
  6. Within the inner loop, there's a conditional statement (if-else) that checks whether j is greater than i.
  7. If j is greater than i, the program prints three spaces using System.out.print(" "). This is done to create the triangular spacing pattern in the output. The number of spaces decreases as the j value gets closer to i.
  8. If j is not greater than i, it means that the numbers need to be printed in the pattern. The System.out.format("%3d", k++) statement is used to print the value of k with a minimum width of 3 characters, right-aligned. After printing, the value of k is incremented.
  9. After the inner loop completes for a row, the program prints a newline character using System.out.println() to move to the next row for the pattern.
  10. The outer loop continues its iterations until i reaches 5, generating the complete pattern.
