Python Alphabet Pattern 33

Here`s a program that prints the above alphabet pattern using Python Programming:

example.py
Copied
Copy To Clipboard
for i in range(65, 70):
    for j in range(69, 64, -1):
        if(i == j):
            a = chr(j)
            print(a, end="")
        else:
            print("", end=" ")
    for k in range(66, 70):
        if(i == k):
            a = chr(k)
            print(a, end="")
        else:
             print("", end=" ")
    print()

💻 Testing the Program

When you run the above program, it will print the following output:

Output
    A
   B B
  C   C
 D     D
E       E

🧠 How the Program Works

Let's break down the logic behind the code:

  1. The outer loop for i in range(65, 70): iterates through values of i from 65 to 69 (inclusive). These values correspond to ASCII character codes of uppercase English letters 'A' to 'E'.
  2. Inside the outer loop, there are two nested loops:
    1. The first nested loop for j in range(69, 64, -1): iterates through values of j from 69 down to 65 (inclusive), with a step of -1. These values correspond to ASCII character codes of uppercase English letters 'E' to 'A' in reverse order.
    2. The second nested loop for k in range(66, 70): iterates through values of k from 66 to 69 (inclusive). These values correspond to ASCII character codes of uppercase English letters 'B' to 'E'.
  3. Within each nested loop, there is an if condition that checks whether the current value of i matches the value of j (in the first loop) or k (in the second loop).
  4. If the condition is met (i == j or i == k), the program converts the ASCII value j or k into its corresponding character using the chr() function and assigns it to the variable a.
  5. If the condition is not met, the program prints a space character to create the spacing between characters.
  6. After either printing the character or a space for each position in the row, the program prints a newline character print() to move to the next line before the next iteration of the outer loop.

💯 Tips for Enhancement:

Explore the versatility of this pattern by adjusting its parameters. Whether you increase or decrease the size, tweak the spacing, or modify the characters used, each change opens up a world of possibilities, allowing you to customize and create your unique visual effects.

✔ Conclusion:

Creating visually appealing patterns is not only a fun endeavour but also a great way to enhance your programming or design skills. We hope this tutorial has inspired you to explore the world of creative coding. Share your creations with us, and let your imagination run wild!
